I know that Shin Kamen Rider sorta clumsily tried this Cronenberg-esque approach, but are there any manga, series, or whatever that look like THIS?

The original 1925 release of The Phantom of the Opera contained 17 minutes of Technicolor footage (plus a stenciled color insert). Only the Bal Masque sequence survives intact.
