OH FUCK i almost forgot to mention. i gave hereditary another chance finally. my expectations + my circumstances (being at the movies with a guy who wouldnt let me pay my half -__-) the first time definitely got in the way of me enjoying it. ive decided its a decent movie but that ending is still dumb 

have any of yall seen lilies (1996)…from the gifs i just reblogged…its such a strange little film but i dont know how to feel abt the fact that they seem high school age nd yet a grown woman pursues the main guy, nd the movie doesnt appear very critical of it like everyone in his life encourages it (except bilodeau but only bc shes from paris nd he thinks all parisians are like. sinfully decadent or something). maybe its just bc its set in 1912 nd hes like, 17 maybe, so its not out of the ordinary for the time. forgive me if you think it is portrayed critically bc its not obvious if so nd im very dense. regardless its very uncomfortable to watch but luckily nothing comes of it so its still an enjoyable film on the whole
